Lightyear is a Dutch startup developing a long-range hybrid solar-powered car. The company announced today that it has raised $81 million in new funding. Lightyear's first vehicle, the Lightyear 0, will go on sale in 2022. The car can power itself for up to 40 miles each day, in addition to whatever power it garners from the grid.
