1분기 전 세계 PC 출하량, 3분의 1로 '급감'

시장조사업체 Canalys와 IDC가 2023년 1분기 전 세계 컴퓨터 출하량이 전년 동기 대비 29~33% 감소한 것으로 집계됐다고 밝혔다. 이는 지난해 연말보다 더 가파른 하락세로 글로벌 PC 업체 전체가 최악의 침체기를 피하지 못했다고 전했다. IDC 보고서에 따르면 올 1분기 완제 PC 출하량은 총 5천690만 대로 지난해 같은 기간 대비 2천330만 대가량 줄었다. 또 2019년 1분기(5천920만 대), 2018년 1분기(6천60만 대) 등 코로나19 범 유행 이전보다 낮은 수준으로 나타났다.

While personal PC shipments fell nearly 30 percent in the first quarter of this year, Apple's Mac product line took the brunt of the decline. According to global market research firm IDC, Apple Mac product shipments fell 40% year-over-year to 4.1 million units in the first quarter of this year. During the same period, total global PC shipments fell to 56.9 million units, a 29% year-over-year decline. Apple's PC share fell from 8.6% to 7.2%.
