Apple has announced that it will no longer offer "financing" to customers purchasing SIM-free iPhones starting August 15. The Apple Card Monthly Installment (ACMI) option will be limited to customers with AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon contracts. "Currently, purchasing an iPhone with ACMI at an Apple Store location requires a carrier connection with AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon," Apple said in a notice on its website.
