For example, when connected to Linear, users can ask Claude to "write release notes for our latest sprint from Linear" and it will automatically pull actual Linear tickets to generate professional release notes. The directory is available to all Claude users on web and desktop, while connectors to remote apps and services are exclusive to paid plan subscribers. The feature is powered by the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which enables Claude to securely access only the necessary information from connected tools with limited permissions. Users can explore and connect tools by visiting claude.ai/directory and clicking "Connect" to authenticate and grant Claude access to their work context.
