Google Fi has launched a new unlimited plan called “Unlimited Essentials” for $35 per month. This is now Google Fi’s most affordable unlimited plan, offering unlimited calls, texts, and data, along with 30GB of high-speed data. The existing Simply Unlimited plan has been renamed “Unlimited Standard” and now offers 50GB of high-speed data, up from 35GB, for $50 per month. High-speed hotspot tethering has also increased from 5GB to 25GB. The Unlimited Premium plan (formerly Unlimited Plus) now provides 100GB of high-speed data for $65 per month, but high-speed hotspot tethering is now limited to 50GB. In addition, Google Fi now supports connecting tablets and laptops to your plan at no extra cost using a data-only eSIM. Previously, a physical SIM card was required, but now you can easily connect compatible devices with eSIM. Google Fi also now allows both iPhones and Android phones to access international 5G, and users on the Unlimited Premium and Flexible plans can use 5G in over 92 countries. In the coming weeks, Google will also introduce the ability to listen to voicemails from the default Phone app instead of the Fi app.
구글 파이가 월 35달러에 이용할 수 있는 새로운 무제한 요금제 ‘Unlimited Essentials’를 출시했다. 이 요금제는 구글 파이의 최저가 무제한 요금제로, 무제한 통화와 문자, 데이터, 그리고 30GB의 고속 데이터를 제공한다. 기존 Simply Unlimited 요금제는 ‘Unlimited Standard’로 이름을 바꾸고, 월 50달러에 고속 데이터 한도를 35GB에서 50GB로 확대했다. 고속 핫스팟 테더링도 5GB에서 25GB로 늘어났다. Unlimited Premium(구 Unlimited Plus) 요금제는 월 65달러에 고속 데이터 한도가 100GB로 두 배 늘었지만, 고속 핫스팟 테더링은 50GB로 제한된다. 이와 함께 구글 파이는 데이터 전용 eSIM을 통해 추가 비용 없이 태블릿이나 노트북을 요금제에 연결할 수 있도록 지원한다. 기존에는 물리적 SIM 카드가 필요했으나, 앞으로는 eSIM으로 간편하게 연결 가능하다. 또한 아이폰과 안드로이드폰 모두에서 국제 5G 접속이 가능해졌으며, Unlimited Premium과 Flexible 요금제 사용자는 92개국 이상에서 5G 서비스를 이용할 수 있다. 구글은 앞으로 몇 주 내에 Fi 앱이 아닌 기본 전화 앱에서도 음성사서함을 들을 수 있는 기능도 도입할 예정이다.
