Google announced at its developer event I/O 2025 that it will introduce AI-powered live translation in Google Meet. Starting this week, live Spanish translation will be available in beta, with more languages to be added in the future. The feature naturally reflects the speaker’s tone and cadence, allowing users to converse in their preferred language. While translation was previously limited to live captions, this new feature is expected to improve users’ focus on conversations. Currently, the feature is available to subscribers of Google AI Pro and Ultra plans, and it is planned to be expanded to enterprise users later this year.
