Google has partnered with PJM Interconnection, the largest power grid operator in North America, to accelerate the process of connecting new power supplies using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This collaboration marks the first instance where AI is comprehensively managing the interconnection queue for a power grid. As major tech companies construct large-scale data centers to train and deploy AI applications, electricity demand has surged significantly. In response, Google aims to enhance grid management efficiency and connection speed through advanced AI solutions.
