Netflix has secured the exclusive broadcasting rights in Canada for the 2027 and 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cups. In December last year, it also signed a broadcasting rights deal under the same terms in the United States. With this agreement, Netflix will enter live soccer broadcasting for the first time. The 2027 tournament will be held in Brazil, and the host country for the 2031 tournament will be announced at the 76th FIFA Congress in April. The 2023 tournament was jointly broadcast in its entirety — all 64 matches — by TSN and CTV.
