Microsoft has added Anthropic’s AI model “Claude” to its AI platform Copilot 365. The integration will first apply to Researcher and the AI agent development tool, Copilot Studio. Microsoft emphasized that Copilot will continue to run on OpenAI’s latest models, but the move highlights a diversification of partnerships between the two companies. Testers can now use Anthropic’s “Claude Opus 4.1” within Copilot Researcher, which provides support for complex, multi-step research tasks. The new feature is initially being released through Microsoft’s beta program, Frontier, and will later expand to general users. The company stated it plans to leverage Anthropic models further to deliver even more powerful Copilot experiences.
