The lawsuit follows an order from the Railway Ministry requiring X to remove hundreds of posts, including videos of a deadly stampede in Delhi during the Kumbh Mela religious festival. X contends that such takedown orders bypass established legal procedures and are arbitrary. Sahyog is designed to automate the process of issuing government notices to content platforms. While companies like Amazon, Google, and Meta have joined the portal, X argues that it facilitates excessive censorship by bypassing judicial oversight.
