Meta’s AI assistant service has surpassed 1 billion monthly active users across the company’s apps, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced at the shareholder meeting. This milestone was achieved following the launch of a standalone app in April. Zuckerberg said Meta AI will continue to evolve with a focus on personalization, voice conversations, and entertainment, and indicated the possibility of introducing paid recommendation services or subscription models in the future. Meanwhile, the shareholder meeting included votes on 14 proposals covering topics such as child safety, greenhouse gas emissions, and bitcoin treasury assessment. Proposals not recommended by the board, including the call to end the dual-class stock structure, were unlikely to pass. Meta plans to officially release the final voting results within four business days.
