Samsung officially unveiled its next-generation flagship chipset, the Exynos 2500, on June 23, ahead of next month's expected Unpacked event and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 launch. The Exynos 2500 is Samsung's first chipset built on a 3nm GAA (Gate-All-Around) process, delivering significant power efficiency improvements over the Exynos 2400's 4nm process. The chipset features a 1+7+2 CPU core configuration with ARM's latest Cortex-X925 core running at 3.3GHz, achieving 15% performance improvements in big-core performance compared to the Exynos 2400. The 4th-generation Xclipse 950 GPU supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing and 4K 120FPS video output, while the NPU delivers 39% faster on-device AI application processing. Camera capabilities remain unchanged from the Exynos 2400, supporting 320MP sensors and 8K30 video recording. Samsung did not reveal specific modem naming but showed specifications similar to the Exynos 5400 modem used in the Pixel 9 series. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to feature the Exynos 2500 globally, potentially increasing Exynos chipset influence in the North American market.
