Xiaomi posted stronger-than-expected earnings for the first quarter of 2025, driven by solid sales of smartphones and electric vehicles. The company reported that its net profit more than doubled year-over-year to 10.92 billion yuan (approximately $1.52 billion) in the first quarter. Revenue during the same period rose 47% to 111.29 billion yuan. According to the company, revenue from its core smartphone business grew by 8.9%, contributing significantly to the overall earnings growth. Analysts say the results demonstrate Xiaomi’s competitiveness despite uncertainties in the smartphone market and concerns over a broader economic slowdown.
