Google Meet gets a refreshed UI, multipinning, autozoom and more

Google announced a major update to Meet, its video-meeting service, which brings several user interface tweaks for desktop users, including multipinning so that you can highlight multiple feeds instead of just one, as well as new AI-driven video capabilities for light adjustments, autozoom and a new Data Saver feature that limits data usage on slower mobile networks.

Perseverance successfully pulled carbon dioxide from the planet's atmosphere and converted it into oxygen, while the ultimate goal is to look for signs of ancient life on Mars, that hasn't stopped the rover from doing other scientific work. The experiment's success paves the way for future missions, particularly those involving human astronauts as both people and the rockets that will carry them to and from the Red Planet need oxygen to operate.

Walt Disney Co. reached an agreement to broadcast and stream films from rival studio Sony Pictures after they run on Netflix, gaining access to future installments of franchises like “Spider-Man” Sony Corp. movies, including those featuring Marvel characters, will be available on Disney outlets, as well as Disney TV networks.

The new iPads are packed with M1 chips, a replacement for the Intel and AMD processors it has used in Mac products for years.
