Adobe has launched ‘Generate Video,’ an AI-powered text- and image-to-video generator, in public beta through its Firefly web app. The tool allows users to create 1080p, five-second videos by inputting text prompts or reference images while customizing style, camera angles, and motion. Firefly now integrates with Photoshop and Premiere Pro, making AI-generated content easier to edit and commercially viable. Adobe plans to introduce a 4K model and a lower-resolution ideation model in the future. As competition grows from OpenAI, Google, and ByteDance, Adobe is focusing on improving quality and features. Two additional AI tools, ‘Scene to Image’ (AI image reference creation) and ‘Translate Audio and Video’ (voice translation in 20+ languages), have also launched in beta. Firefly’s subscription plans start at $9.99 per month, offering AI-generated video and image credits.
