OpenAI has announced the launch of Advanced Voice Mode (AVM) for ChatGPT's paying customers. AVM is designed to make conversations with ChatGPT more natural and will initially be available to ChatGPT Plus and Teams tier customers. Enterprise and education customers will be able to access it starting next week. AVM features a redesigned interface, represented by a blue animated sphere, and users will be able to access the feature through a popup notification next to the voice icon. Additionally, five new voices (Arbor, Maple, Sol, Spruce, and Vale) have been added, bringing ChatGPT's total number of voices to nine. While video and screen sharing features are not included in this release, OpenAI has promised improvements to AVM's performance, stating that accent recognition capabilities and conversation speed have been enhanced.
