YouTube has warned that if contract renewal talks with Fox break down, major channels including Fox Broadcasting, Fox News, and Fox Sports could be pulled from YouTube TV. YouTube claims that Fox is demanding payments “far higher” than those required of comparable content providers, stressing the need for a fair deal that does not pass additional costs on to subscribers. Fox, meanwhile, said in a statement that it remains committed to reaching a fair agreement, but accused Google of exploiting its market power by proposing terms that are out of step with industry standards.
