CrowdStrike will acquire Pangea, a startup specializing in security for generative AI applications, in a deal reportedly valued at around $260 million. George Kurtz, CEO of CrowdStrike, said at the “Fal.Con 2025” conference in Las Vegas that the acquisition is aimed at strengthening the company’s “AI Detection and Response” capabilities. He described Pangea as a leading company in protecting AI agents across the browser, application, gateway, cloud, development pipeline, and production environments. The acquisition follows CrowdStrike’s recent announcement to acquire data pipeline management startup Onum. Cybersecurity firm Optiv commented that as demand for AI security grows, CrowdStrike’s continued investment will help provide more tailored solutions.
