Huawei plans to begin mass shipments of its advanced artificial intelligence (AI) chip, the 910C, to customers in China as early as next month. Some clients have reportedly already received the product. This move comes as the U.S. Trump administration has imposed export license requirements on Nvidia’s H20 AI chip, prompting Chinese AI companies to accelerate efforts to secure domestic alternatives. The 910C is a structurally evolved GPU that integrates two 910B chips into a single package, achieving performance comparable to Nvidia’s H100. It offers twice the computing power and memory capacity of the 910B, along with incremental improvements such as enhanced support for various AI workloads. Huawei is reportedly negotiating supply agreements for the 910C with major Chinese tech firms, including Baidu, ByteDance, and China Mobile.
화웨이가 첨단 인공지능(AI) 칩 ‘910C’의 중국 내 대량 출하를 이르면 다음 달부터 시작할 계획이다. 일부 고객사에는 이미 제품이 전달된 것으로 알려졌다. 이번 조치는 미국 트럼프 행정부가 엔비디아의 AI 칩 ‘H20’에 수출 라이선스 규제를 부과한 가운데, 중국 AI 기업들이 국산 대체 기술 확보에 박차를 가하는 흐름과 맞물려 있다. 910C는 기존 910B 칩 두 개를 하나로 통합한 구조적 진화형 GPU로, 엔비디아의 H100과 비슷한 성능을 구현했다. 연산 능력과 메모리 용량이 910B 대비 두 배로 늘었으며, 다양한 AI 데이터 처리 지원 등 점진적인 개선도 적용됐다. 화웨이는 이번 칩을 앞세워 바이두, 바이트댄스, 차이나모바일 등 중국 주요 IT 기업들과의 공급 협상도 진행 중인 것으로 전해졌다.
