Huawei has unveiled its second trifold smartphone, the Mate XTs, priced from 17,999 yuan (about $2,520) and running on its own HarmonyOS 5.1 operating system. Unlike typical foldables, the trifold design features two hinges, allowing the device to unfold into a tablet-like form. Huawei first introduced the concept last year with its initial model, and now holds a 75% share of China’s foldable phone market, bolstering its broader recovery in the domestic smartphone sector. Positioned as a productivity-focused device, the Mate XTs supports large-screen multitasking and comes with a 5,600mAh battery. Huawei is also offering incentives such as 50% off screen replacements and free on-site service appointments to strengthen its market push.
