구글이 스마트폰에서 AI 모델을 오프라인으로 실행하는 앱 'AI 엣지 갤러리(AI Edge Gallery)'를 출시했다.

현재 안드로이드용으로 제공되며 곧 iOS 버전도 출시 예정인 이 실험적 알파 버전 앱은 인터넷 연결 없이 오프라인에서 이미지 생성, 질문 답변, 코드 작성 및 편집 등의 기능을 지원한다. 사용자들은 개인정보나 민감한 데이터를 원격 데이터센터로 전송하는 것을 우려하거나 Wi-Fi나 셀룰러 연결 없이도 AI 모델을 사용하고 싶어하는 니즈를 충족할 수 있다. 앱의 홈 화면에는 '이미지 질문하기'와 'AI 채팅' 같은 AI 작업 바로가기가 표시되며, 기능을 탭하면 구글의 젬마 3n같은 해당 작업에 적합한 모델 목록이 나타난다.
