Meta is expected to unveil its first pair of smart glasses with built-in displays, called “Hypernova,” at Meta Connect 2025. The new device represents an evolution over the current Ray-Ban smart glasses, adding a display to features such as audio playback, photo and video capture, and integration with Meta’s AI tools. The event is also likely to include announcements on Meta’s AI strategy as well as updates to its metaverse platform, Horizon Worlds. While no new VR headset is expected this year, partners such as ASUS and Lenovo may debut Quest OS–based devices. The Meta Connect 2025 keynote kicks off at 9 a.m. KST on the 18th, with a livestream available on Meta’s official site.
