If the deal goes through, the company’s valuation could reach around $500 billion, putting it on par with giants like SpaceX and OpenAI. The fundraising would be carried out through a new equity issuance, representing about a 3% stake in the company. However, talks are still in the early stages, and the final terms may change. As the issuer of USDT, Tether has recently stepped up its return to the U.S., appointing a CEO for its U.S. operations and launching a new token called USAT for businesses and institutions. USDT’s market cap has surpassed $172 billion, widening the gap with second-place USDC, which is valued at around $74 billion.
