OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank will build five artificial intelligence (AI) data centers in the United States. The project is part of the three companies’ joint “Stargate” initiative. Stargate is a massive private-sector AI infrastructure project that will invest up to $500 billion. The initiative was formally launched in January when President Donald Trump brought together top tech CEOs at the White House. With AI set as a priority, the Trump administration and global Big Tech companies are accelerating large-scale investments to secure next-generation AI computing infrastructure.
