Apple, the undisputed leader in global smartphone market share, has launched a discount sale on its latest iPhone 15 series in China. The company has lowered the price of the iPhone 15 just a month after its release, but it will be difficult to regain its position as the number one smartphone in China. Chinese online retailers such as Taobao, Jingdong.com, and Fanduduo are selling the iPhone 15 series at a discount. Currently, the official price of the iPhone 15 Promax 512GB at the Apple Store is 11,999 yuan (about $220). But on Taobao, it's selling for 16,988 yuan (about $196). Fandiduo is selling the iPhone 15 Plus 128GB model for 6098 yuan (about $112), which is 900 yuan (about $16) less than the official price of 6999 yuan (about $128), and Jingdong.com is also selling the iPhone 15 with discounts of up to 270 yuan.

글로벌 스마트폰 점유율 부동의 1위 애플이 중국 시장에서 얼마 전 출시한 최신 스마트폰 아이폰 15 시리즈의 할인 판매에 나섰다. 출시 후 한 달 만에 가격을 내린것인데 사실상 중국내 스마트폰 1위의 점유율을 다시 되찾기는 쉽지 않을 전망이다. 타오바오, 징둥닷컴, 판둬둬 등 중국 온라인 쇼핑몰에선 아이폰 15 시리즈를 할인가로 판매하고 있다. 현재 애플스토어의 아이폰 15 프로맥스 512기가바이트(GB) 공식 판매가는 1만1999위안(약 220만원)이다. 그러나 타오바오에서는 1만698위안(약 196만원)에 판매된다. 판둬둬는 아이폰15 플러스 128GB 모델을 공식 가격 6999위안(약 128만원)보다 900위안(약 16만원) 저렴한 6098위안(약 112만원)에 판매 중이며, 징둥닷컴도 최대 27만원가량 할인한 가격에 아이폰 15를 판매하고 있다.
