Cryptocurrency exchange HTX (formerly Huobi Global) suffered an $86.6 million attack on its HECO chain bridge. The hackers targeted three hot wallets by exploiting a vulnerability in the HECO chain. Hot wallets are cryptocurrency wallets that allow for real-time transactions online, and while they are convenient, they are vulnerable to hacking. The actual damage to HTX from the attack was $13.6 million.
