Tesla, a leader in the electric vehicle (EV) market, is expected to see a decline in sales amid the strength of Chinese competitor BYD. Analysts have indicated that Tesla will introduce more than 441,019 new vehicles between April and June, marking a 5.4% decrease compared to the same period last year. This represents Tesla's second consecutive quarterly sales decline. Throughout the year, Tesla has overcome several challenges, including an arson incident near its Berlin factory and shipping disruptions due to the conflict in the Red Sea. Despite overcoming these hurdles, Tesla continues to grapple with fundamental issues, namely the struggle of its older vehicle lineup to compete with the latest offerings from rival EV manufacturers. Consequently, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has implemented various strategies to stimulate demand, including price cuts and discounts on leasing options. However, despite these efforts, the company has been unable to halt the decline in sales in recent months. Meanwhile, BYD has reported record-breaking sales in the electric and hybrid vehicle categories from April to June. Chinese automakers sold nearly 1 million vehicles during this period, with electric vehicle sales reaching 426,000 units.
