Microsoft has released a native Copilot app for macOS. This app, similar to its Windows counterpart, allows access to the web-based AI assistant and provides features for image uploading and generation, as well as text generation. The new Mac version of Copilot supports dark mode and can be quickly launched using the Command + Space shortcut. It is currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. Simultaneously, the iOS and iPadOS versions have been updated to include Apple ID login, document upload, and summarization features. The iPad version also supports split-screen mode. Microsoft has recently made Copilot's voice feature and 'Think Deeper' function available for free with unlimited use. This allows users to have more extensive conversations with the AI assistant. With the release of Copilot for macOS, Microsoft is expanding its AI services across major operating systems. Additional features such as document summarization are expected to be added in the future, which is seen as a move to strengthen Microsoft's AI strategy.
