Microsoft said a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack by a group of hackers was responsible for an outage earlier this month that affected its 365 Office suite and cloud services, including Outlook email and the OneDrive app. The company identified a traffic spike that temporarily affected some services and was attributed to activity by a threat actor it tracks as "Storm-1359," U.S. tech publication Engadget reported on Monday.

U.S. federal prosecutors on Friday asked the court to drop five of the 13 charges against Ms. Bankman-Fried, according to local media. The five counts were identified as campaign finance violations, which were added by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York after Bankman-Fried's extradition. Prosecutors requested the five counts be dropped because the Bahamian court indicated that there were procedural problems with the U.S. Attorney's additional charges. Ultimately, the trial on the five additional charges was postponed until next year.

ARM reportedly plans to raise $8 billion to $10 billion from the IPO. Intel is in talks with SoftBank, ARM's largest shareholder, to join ARM as an anchor investor. An anchor investor is a large investor that comes in before the listing and leads the process.
