Microsoft PowerToys is adding long-missing features to Windows 11. The new version introduces a shortcut conflict detector and the ability to automatically switch between light and dark modes based on a schedule. PowerToys version 0.94 can identify shortcuts currently in use by Windows or PowerToys modules, highlight any conflicts in red, and allow users to quickly reassign them. Microsoft is also planning to roll out a redesigned Keyboard Manager UI next month along with a new module that enables scheduled theme switching. Until now, Windows 11 users have only been able to switch between light and dark modes manually, but the update will finally bring automated switching similar to iOS and Android. In addition, PowerToys includes a range of other utilities such as Advanced Paste, Always on Top, the FancyZones window manager, and the Spotlight-like Command Palette launcher.
마이크로소프트 파워토이가 윈도우 11에서 그동안 빠져 있던 기능을 보강한다. 새 버전에는 단축키 충돌 감지 기능과 일정에 따른 라이트·다크 모드 자동 전환 기능이 포함된다. 파워토이 0.94 버전은 현재 윈도우와 파워토이 모듈에서 사용 중인 단축키를 감지해 충돌을 표시하고, 빨간색으로 하이라이트해 사용자들이 쉽게 재설정할 수 있도록 지원한다. 마이크로소프트는 또 다음 달 업데이트에서 키보드 매니저 UI 개편과 함께 스케줄 기반 자동 테마 전환 모듈을 추가할 예정이다. 지금까지 윈도우 11에서는 라이트·다크 모드를 수동으로만 바꿀 수 있었지만, iOS와 안드로이드처럼 자동 전환이 가능해지는 셈이다. 이외에도 파워토이에는 ‘고급 붙여넣기’, ‘항상 위’, 창 관리 도구 ‘팬시존’, 스포트라이트 유사 런처 ‘커맨드 팔레트’ 등 다양한 유틸리티가 포함돼 있다.
