중국 규제 당국, 테라 붕괴 여파로 더 엄격한 규제 조치 시행

The China state-owned media outlet, the Economic Daily, has signaled that the Chinese government may introduce even tighter regulations on cryptocurrencies and stablecoins due to the collapse of the Terra ecosystem. After banning crypto exchanges back in 2017, the Chinese government has been toughening its stance on crypto again since mid-2021. Multiple agencies warned of the risk of investing in crypto, and a major crackdown on mining within the country took place.

G7 재무당국, 금융안정위원회에 암호화폐 규제 강화 촉구

The G7 urges the Financial Stability Board to speed up crypto-asset regulation. The turmoil referred to was the de-pegging of the TerraUSD (UST) stablecoin that began May 8. There were warning signs that the G7 ministers would be addressing the problem at their meeting.
