NASA may soon be able to tell us when a solar storm is coming. The team collected data on solar flares from multiple satellites monitoring the sun and from ground stations watching for geomagnetic disruptions. The deep learning model identified patterns in how the former leads to the latter, and they call the resulting system DAGGER.

Artemis I mission is still set to launch this week. The rocket and Orion spacecraft suffered only "very minor damage" from Hurricane Nicole. Some material came loose from the Orion spacecraft and could pose an issue to launch. The aim of the mission is to launch the spacecraft on an uncrewed mission around the Moon.

NASA's Psyche mission has been rescheduled for October 2020. The agency missed its launch window for the mission in October, but a review determined it can go ahead next year. The Psyche spacecraft will use Martian gravity to propel it toward an asteroid called Psyche.

NASA intentionally crashed its Double Asteroid Redirection Test spacecraft into an asteroid. The collision created a plume of dust and debris that astronomers call ejecta. Follow-up observations show the dust is being pushed away from the asteroid by the solar wind. The tail is at least 10,000 kilometers (6,000 miles) long.

NASA and SpaceX will study ways to use SpaceX's Dragon capsule to boost the Hubble Space Telescope's orbit. The six-month study will examine ways to dock with and raise the telescope's orbit, which would extend its useful life. The Hubble Space telescope has been a workhorse cosmic observatory for astronomers since its launch in 1990.

NASA has announced the formation of a study team dedicated to UFOs. The team will be led by astrophysicist David Spergel. The study will identify what UAP data already exists and develop methods to study the nature of UAPs for both scientific and aerospace defense reasons. NASA has already been up front about the fact that Uaps are likely not alien spacecraft.
