Food delivery platform DoorDash and Wing, a drone delivery company owned by Google's parent company Alphabet, have launched a drone delivery partnership in the United States. Drone delivery will begin in Christiansburg, Virginia, where customers in select locations can order eligible items from the Wendy's menu through DoorDash to receive drone delivery.

DoorDash is testing a service that lets drivers deliver Facebook Marketplace items. The service is currently being tested in several U.S. cities. Facebook's parent company, Meta, is also testing the service. The partnership could help Facebook reach younger users. It would also help DoorDash compete with Uber Eats.
