The long-awaited cryptocurrency regulation framework released by President Joe Biden’s Treasury Department this month attempted to outline a plan for managing the burgeoning crypto industry. Those included the collapse of Terraform Labs, which led to an Interpol arrest warrant for its founder, Do Kwon; the Celsius Network’s bankruptcy; and the collapse of crypto prices. Stablecoins and other cryptocurrencies dismantle the power of federal currencies and allow individuals to accrue wealth independently, which is exactly why the federal government doesn’t like them.

이미지 합성 모델(ISM)로도 불리는 신경망 인공지능(AI)이 최근 소셜미디어와 온라인 예술 커뮤니티에서 크게 인기를 얻고 있다. 영국의 ‘스테이블 디퓨전’, 미국의 ‘달리-2’, ‘미드저니(MidJourney)’와 같은 AI들이 대표적이다. 이들은 사람들이 ‘프롬프트’로 불리는 텍스트 설명을 입력하는 것만으로 그들이 상상할 수 있는 거의 모든 것들의 이미지를 만들어 준다. 개발 목적 중 하나는 그림그리기의 대중화다. 하지만 이 AI들은 동시에 논란의 중심에 서 있기도 하다. 이달 초 미국 바이스란 매체가 한 미술전 1위 작품이 AI의 그림이었다고 보도하면서 논란의 불씨를 지폈다.

The IRS accidentally released confidential taxpayer data for up to 120,000 people. The IRS said the data was from some non-501(c)(3) organizations. The data does not include Social Security numbers or detailed account-holder information. It was able to be downloaded for a period of time before the IRS fixed the mistake.

The chips are designed to speed up machine learning tasks and are used in supercomputers. Honda and LG Chem will build a $4.4 billion electric vehicle battery factory in the US, the latest move to shore up the country’s domestic production to comply with new tax credit rules. Honda and LG Chem will form a joint venture to produce batteries in the US for the automaker’s upcoming lineup of EVs. The two companies aim to begin construction in early 2023 to enable the start of mass production of lithium-ion battery cells by the end of 2025.

The company has yet to disclose the price of the car, which will determine whether the SUV is eligible for a 2023 EV tax credit or not. Xiaolang Zhang pleaded guilty to a felony charge of theft of trade secrets. He was arrested in 2018 at San Jose International Airport as he was trying to board a last-minute flight to China. Zhang was accused of transferring 25-page document that includes engineering schematics of a circuit board for the company's self-driving vehicle. He faces up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
