암호화폐 활성화에 가장 잘 준비된 국가는 '홍콩'으로 파악됐다. 암호화폐 관련 법률과 과세 정책, 블록체인 스타트업 종사자 수, 암호화폐 ATM 기기 보급 대수 등을 기준으로 홍콩, 미국, 스위스가 선도 국가로 꼽혔다.

TSLA said it recorded a $170 million impairment charge against the carrying value of its bitcoin holdings for the first six months of the year. The electric-car maker also logged $64 million in gains from certain sales of its bitcoin holdings, the company said in its 10-Q filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

7월들어 암호화폐(가상자산) 시장이 점진적인 회복세를 보이는 가운데 이더리움(ETH)의 상승세가 뚜렷하다. 이더리움은 지난 7월 13일 이후 2주 연속 상승세를 보이고 있다. 13일 1023달러, 1주일 전인 지난 18일에는 1352달러 내외였던 것과 비교하면 일주일 단위로 20~30%씩 거래가가 뛰고 있다.

테슬라, 지난 2분기 비트코인 보유분 75% 매도한 것으로 드러나

Tesla sold most of its Bitcoin holdings in the second quarter. The electric vehicle maker now has $218 million in digital asset exposure. In January, Tesla acquired $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin. Tesla also had plans to accept BTC payments, but those plans were later scrapped.
