"스타트업, 특허·상표 20건 출원하면 투자유치 확률 17배 급증"

국내 스타트업 2615개사 분석 결과, 특허·상표를 사전 출원한 기업의 투자유치 성공률이 17배, 기업매각 성공률이 6배 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 정부는 IP 전략 지원 확대를 약속했다.

Apple is in trademark litigation with Switzerland's largest fruit federation (FUS), which has a 111-year history. "Apple is asking Swiss authorities for broad intellectual property rights to the word 'apple,'" according to U.S. IT publications. The FUS's logo is a red apple topped with the white cross of the Swiss flag. "We don't even use a bite-sized apple as our logo, so it's hard to understand Apple's actions," said a FUS spokesperson in response to the lawsuit.

ARM, 상표권 침해 및 라이선스 계약 위반 혐의로 퀄컴 고소

ARM has filed a lawsuit against Qualcomm and subsidiary Nuvia over alleged trademark infringement. Qualcomm bought Nuvia last year to leverage the latter's custom processor cores for its chips. ARM claims Qualcomm did not obtain the necessary permission to transfer and use the licenses it granted to Nuvia.

구글, '픽셀워치' 이름 상표권 등록

A new trademark filing reveals the name of Google's first in-house smartwatch. The Pixel Watch name is not in current use, but there is an intent to use it. Google is expected to unveil the watch at its I/O developer conference next month. It's expected to feature some kind of Fitbit integration with Wear OS 3.
