Jayendra Jog, co-founder of blockchain Sei, has announced that the company has raised $30 million in funding. Sei Network is a Cosmos SDK-based decentralized blockchain that's halfway between an appchain and a layer-1 blockchain, utilizing a new approach to traditional order book protocols. "Our mission is to build the best infrastructure for exchanges," said Jog, "and we've raised capital to ensure we have the right strategic partners in place, especially to get to the mainnet." The funding will be used to expand its presence in the Asia Pacific region.
