Amazon has struck a deal to buy One Medical for $3.9 billion. The primary healthcare provider has 767,000 members and 188 medical offices across 25 markets. Amazon has made a notable push into the healthcare market in the last few years. It launched an app-based health service for its employees in 2019 and has a pharmacy service.

Amazon is starting to roll out some of the electric delivery vans that it developed in partnership with Rivian, the companies announced Thursday. The vans will be deployed in a handful of cities to start, including Seattle, Baltimore, Chicago and Phoenix. The move marks a significant step forward in Amazon’s efforts to decarbonize its last-mile delivery fleet, an effort which began in 2019 when then-CEO Jeff Bezos announced the company would purchase 100,000 vans from Rivian.

Amazon has opened a micromobility hub in central London to make e-bikes and on-foot couriers available for deliveries. The company plans to open more e-cargo delivery hubs in the UK in the coming months. It already has more than 1,000 electric delivery vans on the road in the country.

아마존이 물류 창고용 완전 자율이동 로봇 '프로테우스'를 처음으로 공개했다. 기존 운송용 로봇과 달리 프로테우스는 상황에 따라 스스로 판단해 화물을 운송하는 지능형 로봇이라는 점이 차별점이다. 아마존은 몇가지 보완점을 개선한 후 내년부터 미국 전역의 물류 창고와 주문 처리 센터에서 확대 보급할 계획이다.

애플을 비롯해 구글, MS, 아마존, 삼성전자 등이 기존 계정에 비밀번호를 입력해 로그인 하는 방식을 버리고 올해 내에 패스키라는 새로운 기술을 적용할 계획이다. 패스키를 이용하면 비밀번호 없이 공개 키와 지문, 얼굴인식 등의 생체정보로 로그인할 수 있다.
