일론 머스크의 뉴럴링크는 지난 20일 다이빙하다가 다쳐 하체가 마비된 29살 남자의 머리에 동전크기의 칩을 심은 후 그가 생각하는 대로 컴퓨터와 체스를 즐기는 모습을 소셜미디어 X에 공개했다. 그런데 최근 이보다 훨씬 더 작은 소금 알갱이 크기에 불과한 무선 칩이 개발됐다. 크기가 엄청나게 작다. 소금알갱이만하다.이름은 뉴로그레인(Neurograins)이다.
