인도판 우버 '올라', 2024년 인도제 전기차 출시할 터

인도 최대의 차량 공유업체인 올라(Ola)가 전기 바이크에 이어 완전한 전기차 생산에 도전한다. 최근 소프트뱅크의 투자에 힘입어 전기자 자회사인 올라 일렉트릭(Ola Electric)을 설립하고 오는 2024년까지 배터리 기반 전기차를 생산할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

미국의 전기차 제조사 테슬라가 자율주행 및 내비게이션 정확도를 높일 수 있는 다중 대역 정밀 GPS 안테나에 대한 특허를 출원했다. 선루프와 룸미러 사이에 내장하는 형식이다.

BMW, 배터리 화재 우려로 전기차 83대 리콜

BMW is recalling 83 iX and i4 vehicles after investigating multiple battery fire incidents. The recall affects select iX xDrive 50, iX M60, i4 eDrive40 and i 4 M50 vehicles. BMW will replace the batteries in affected vehicles free of charge. Owners can expect a notification letter by September 19th.

The U.S. Department of Energy has issued a $2.5 billion loan to a joint battery venture between General Motors and LG Energy Solution. The funds come from the government’s Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing loan program, which hasn’t funded a new loan since 2010. The loan will be used to finance the construction of new lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing facilities.
