美 전기차 스타트업 패러데이 퓨처, 양산 계획 '흔들'

중국계 전기차 스타트업인 패러데이 퓨처(Faraday Future)가 자금 부족과 공급망 문제로 인해 전기차 양산 계획을 연기한다고 밝혔다. 외신은 패러데이 퓨처의 공시 자료를 인용, FF91 세단형 전기차의 양산 개시 및 인도 일정이 올해 3분기, 혹은 4분기로 늦춰질 것이라고 전했다.

Nuevo Leon wants to ease congestion at the border for local companies doing business with companies in the US, especially Tesla, including by adding dedicated lanes for their business. Wait times for crossing the border crossing between Texas and Nuevo Leon can be as long as 25 minutes during rush hour. Using the new dedicated lane, Tesla suppliers can get across the border in less than 10 minutes.

Amazon is starting to roll out some of the electric delivery vans that it developed in partnership with Rivian, the companies announced Thursday. The vans will be deployed in a handful of cities to start, including Seattle, Baltimore, Chicago and Phoenix. The move marks a significant step forward in Amazon’s efforts to decarbonize its last-mile delivery fleet, an effort which began in 2019 when then-CEO Jeff Bezos announced the company would purchase 100,000 vans from Rivian.

미국의 전기차 제조사 테슬라가 올 2분기 실적을 공개했다. 매출 169억3000만달러(약 22조2170억원)을 기록했다. 당초 미국 월가의 전망치 171억달러에는 못 미치는 실적이다. 다만, 순이익은 크게 늘었다. 2분기 순이익은 지난해 동기 11억4000만달러에서 올해 22억6000만달러(약 2조9650억원)으로 2배 가까이 증가했다.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that the company hopes to start delivering the Cybertruck, its battery-powered electric pickup, in the “middle of next year” during a call for investors. This is a more specific timeline than Musk has provided before — in last quarter’s earnings call, he said that the truck would be coming “hopefully next year.”

Now that we’re more than halfway through 2022, GM’s goal of catching up to Tesla for EV sales by 2025 seems like an impossible climb. Right now, GM still gets mocked on Tesla Twitter, especially with Joe Biden saying “Mary, you electrified the whole auto industry, you led…” in a time when GM still only sells around 1/10 the electric vehicles Tesla does. Depending on what part of 2025 you’re talking about, it’s either 2.5 or 3.5 years away, which isn’t much time to close that big of a gap.

테슬라가 7월 중으로 누적 판매량 300만대를 돌파할 것으로 예상된다. 테슬라 전기차가 100만대 팔리기까지 8년이 걸렸지만, 200만대까지는 불과 1년 반이 걸렸다. 300만대 판매는 1년이 채 걸리지 않을 것으로 보인다.

Musk replied to a Tweet on Friday about pandemic and supply chain influences on Tesla car prices to a follower named Jaehwan Cho. “If inflation calms down, we can lower prices for cars,” Musk said. Tesla has raised car prices a number of times in the past few months by a few thousand dollars as costs of raw materials

GM, '파일럿 플라잉 J'와 협력하여 급속 충전 네트워크 구축

General Motors is teaming up with Pilot Flying J to build a national fast-charge network for EV drivers. The network will include 2,000 charging stations at 500 Pilot FlyingJ travel centers at 50-mile intervals. Any EV brand can access the network, but GM said its customers will receive benefits such as discounts, exclusive reservations and real-time availability.
