중국이 내년 말 쉰톈 우주망원경(CCST)을 발사할 예정이다. 지난달 네이처지 연구성과를 통해 밝혀진 바 있고 이달초 중국 관영 매체들이 공식발표했다. 이를 계기로 미항공우주국(NASA)이 지난해 12월25일 발사한 제임스 웹 우주망원경(JWST)이 새로운 경쟁자를 갖게 된 건지 궁금해진다.
