The move is part of a restructuring of Zoom, which has seen a decline in popularity after rapid growth during the pandemic. Zoom experienced tremendous growth during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the increase in remote work and online classes. However, as vaccination rates rose, employees returned to the office and companies adopted hybrid work models, Zoom's growth slowed. The cuts are part of Zoom's efforts to adapt to the changing marketplace, The company is reducing headcount in non-core areas to focus on key areas for future growth, including AI, sales, product, and operations.
