Tesla has started to build a new Supercharger station in the Mojave Desert between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The station will likely become the largest in the world. The automaker is growing its Supercharging network at a 35% year-over-year pace.

Tesla has been frequently releasing new software updates to the FSD Beta program and adding more owners to it. Today, Tesla has started using a new FSD beta software update (2022.12.3.10), and according to the release notes, it is one of the most extensive updates to date. The release notes also mentioned many more improvements – several of them related to the level of confidence in which the system takes action, which has been a source of frustration for using FSD Beta in the past.

Over the last few years, Tesla has started to hold somewhat regular annual events with specific subjects at the center of the presentation – not unlike Apple with its annual “Apple Worldwide Developers Conference” and regular fall event. It started with the “Tesla Battery Day” in 2020 when the automaker unveiled its new 4680 battery cell and plans to produce its own battery cells for the first time. The automaker also unveiled its Dojo supercomputer and “Tesla Bot” humanoid robot – now known as Tesla Optimus – at the event.

Instead of “1 million robotaxis” on the road, now, the CEO is talking about Tesla having 1 million people in its FSD Beta program.

Tesla reduced vehicle production at its Shanghai factory this week due to parts shortages caused, in some measure, by a supplier’s Covid lockdown nearby. According to research by JL Warren Capital, Tesla specifically stopped production lines for its crossover electric vehicle, the Model Y, at its Shanghai Gigafactory. During an interview with Financial Times on Tuesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Covid lockdowns in China “are being lifted rapidly” and he doesn’t expect them to be a significant problem in coming weeks.

Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk did not unjustly enrich himself when he guided the electric vehicle maker in 2016 to acquire SolarCity Corp, where Musk was chairman and the largest shareholder, a Delaware judge ruled on Wednesday. Tesla (TSLA) shareholders had accused Musk of coercing Tesla's board into buying SolarCity, a struggling rooftop solar panel maker, to rescue his investment, and had sought up to $13 billion in damages.

테슬라의 올 1분기 실적이 어닝 서프라이즈를 기록했다. 당초 시장 전망치를 훌쩍 뛰어넘는 매출 187억6000만달러, 주당순이익 3.22달러를 기록했다. 마진은 32.9%에 달하는 것으로 파악됐다. 주가는 시간 외 거래에서 5.5% 이상 올랐다.
