Elon Musk has denied a report that his artificial intelligence (AI) company xAI has secured $500 million of its $1 billion goal from investors. Responding to a post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk said it was "not accurate." Earlier, Bloomberg reported that xAI was in talks for a $15 billion to $20 billion valuation, which could be adjusted later.

일론 머스크가 최근 인공지능 스타트업인 xAI 설립한 진짜 목적에 대한 다양한 분석이 나오고 있다. 머스크가 테슬라, 뉴럴링크, X의 데이터를 활용해 AI를 훈련시켜 ‘뇌’를 가진 물리적 로봇용 AI를 구동하는데 사용할 것이라는 관측도 나왔다.

In a 90-minute Twitter Space audio chat last Friday, Musk said the purpose of his new artificial intelligence company, xAI, is to "understand the universe." He also said that xAI will build "good AGI" (artificial general intelligence) as an alternative to Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI. AGI refers to artificial intelligence that can solve problems like humans.

Elon Musk officially announced on Wednesday (local time) that he is launching an AI company. Musk unveiled the AI company, called xAI, and its 12-member team, CNN reported. "The company will be led by Musk and will work closely with X (Twitter), Tesla, and other companies to advance our mission," according to xAI's website. It also states that "xAI's goal is to understand the true nature of the universe," which appears to echo language Musk has previously used to describe his personal AI vision.
