Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI has successfully raised $10 billion (about 13 trillion won) in funding. The new capital will be used to expand the Colossus supercomputer and develop the Grok chatbot, with the funding round drawing oversubscription and strong market interest. xAI’s aggressive moves are unfolding amid fierce competition for AI leadership in the U.S. against rivals such as OpenAI and Anthropic. Earlier this year, OpenAI raised an additional $40 billion, bringing its valuation to $300 billion, while Anthropic was valued at over $60 billion. In March, Musk sold the social media platform X to xAI and began directly integrating the Grok chatbot, further strengthening the company’s AI business.
