BMW will equip its major China-produced models with the artificial intelligence (AI) platform DeepSeek starting from the third quarter of this year. The first models to feature this technology will be the BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase, BMW i5, and the new BMW X3 Long Wheelbase, all of which are equipped with the ninth-generation operating system. BMW also plans to offer the DeepSeek feature to existing customers whose vehicles are running the ninth-generation operating system. The company considers artificial intelligence a key area for future collaboration and is strengthening its adoption of AI technologies as part of its localization strategy in China. Furthermore, DeepSeek will become a standard feature on China-made Neue Klasse models, which are scheduled to launch in 2026.

BMW는 9세대 운영체제를 사용하는 기존 차량 보유 고객에게도 딥시크 기능을 제공할 계획이다. 회사는 인공지능을 미래 협력의 핵심 분야로 꼽으며, 현지화 전략의 일환으로 AI 기술 도입을 강화하고 있다. 딥시크는 2026년 출시 예정인 중국산 노이에 클라쎄(Neue Klasse) 모델에도 기본 사양으로 적용될 예정이다.
