According to former employees, this team has been virtually disbanded, with only a small number of members reassigned to other departments and the majority laid off. The layoffs were carried out nationwide, spanning from the Northeast to California and the central regions. Dell stated that it is evaluating and adjusting its organization to strengthen competitiveness, and the structural changes in the business—driven by the growing demand for AI servers and a decline in traditional server sales—appear to have influenced this decision. Meanwhile, industry insiders have expressed concerns that these layoffs could weaken Dell's ability to acquire new customers. The layoffs affected multiple locations including Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, and Massachusetts, and reportedly included veteran employees with more than 20 years of experience.
