Banma, a smart car technology company in which Alibaba holds about a 45% stake, is preparing to list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Alibaba said it intends to retain more than 30% of its shares even after the IPO. Founded in Shanghai in 2015, Banma has focused on developing smart cockpit solutions and has worked with BMW to co-develop an AI-powered in-vehicle engine solution. Other investors in Banma include SAIC Motor, SDIC Investment Management, and Yunfeng Capital, the investment firm founded by Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma.

알리바바가 지분 약 45%를 보유한 스마트카 기술 기업 '반마(Banma)'가 홍콩 증권거래소 상장을 추진한다. 알리바바는 상장 후에도 지분 30% 이상을 유지할 계획이다. 2015년 상하이에서 설립된 반마는 스마트 콕핏 솔루션을 주력으로 개발해왔으며, BMW와의 협력을 통해 AI 기반 차량 엔진 솔루션을 공동 개발한 바 있다. 반마에는 SAIC 모터, SDIC 인베스트먼트, 알리바바 공동창업자 마윈이 설립한 윈펑 캐피털 등도 투자자로 참여하고 있다.
