US e-commerce company Eightco's stock price jumped nearly 30 times in a single day. This happened after the company announced it would buy large amounts of Worldcoin cryptocurrency. Eightco raised $250 million to purchase Worldcoin and got an additional $20 million investment from crypto mining company BitMine. The stock price soared from $1.45 on Friday to $38.10 on Monday, reaching as high as $83 during trading. Worldcoin is a project created by OpenAI's Sam Altman that scans people's eyes to verify they are real humans. Following this news, Worldcoin's price also jumped 49% to reach a seven-month high. Eightco plans to change its company ticker symbol to ORBS on September 11.
